For slack people like me, i'd always say, lets jog lets practice for the run and ended up running without any proper practice at all. Nike run's experience told me that my muscles aint aching very much (of course it will! Not that terrible as i imagine lah). It is always advisable to know your body's condition while you run. DO NOT push yourselves too much! I saw a girl with purplish face in the previous nike run (around the 3rd km), it was quite a shocking scene (never see a real situation where people really lack of oxygen or whatsoever until then).
I signed up for standard chartered marathon 10km run. Because i feel to do so. Neh, because i love stand chart so much and believe they wouldnt be worse than nike's. And i wanted to feel myself during the run (i actually do, feel like dying).
Anyway, the starting/ending points were at Dataran Merdeka. Speaking of transport (with roadblocks and stuff) to reach there, we decided to take the lrt to Masjid Jamek lrt and walk to the Dataran Merdeka. Lrt started operating at 3am (wooh!) but eventually we can only take the earliest bus to the lrt, which it will only be started at 6 (cheh!). So you can probably imagine there were lotsa runners taking the lrt in the morning. AND!! Lotsa sweating/sweated runners packed in the lrt on the way back. The smell? You wouldnt want to experience it. *fainted*
Talking about 'WE' , we were the three of us!
Btw, i like their design and colours, it looks energetic on us! Anyway, the faces you're looking at, they slept for less than 4 hours (or three?). You know..when three girls sleeping in a room, there will be laughters n noise.
Special thanks to my dearly roommate of that time ( ya, it's YOU!) because she had to open the gate for us in the goddamn early morning (we didnt want to bring the keys together with us, we went out without bags and stuff, lesser burden kononnya. huhu!!) and later morning. She barely slept that night, pity you..hahahaha!!!
During the run, i discovered the meaning of life. I thought about myself, the meaning of moving on alone, completing things that i started, running on my own feet and stuff THAT CAN DISTRACT ME FROM THE DISTANCE LEFT.
Sorry but me no a good runner, but i can say that i did my best to complete the fing 10.6km within 2 hours (i tot it was 10!!! 10!!!!! What is with the .6! ). After the run, i have to take bus and go back to kuantan (my initial imaginarily perfect plan).
So....we walked to the starting point from Masjid Jamek station(around 1km++) then ran for 10.6km and we have to walk back to Masjid Jamek station (around 1km++) then never forget that we were 'finding' each other in the ending point's field from the left ot the right and to the left again under the BIG BIG SHINY sun. Just because we didnt bring our cell phone for 'convenience' sake. HAHAHA! Good lesson to us...:'(
I never felt the pain/sore before..right after the run, i feel like even standing is a form of torturement to me...(didnt felt like this in last year's run, at least i didnt feel the immediate pain, it had to be the next day.). After we reach home, i can't even walk properly (THE WORSE THING TO See? STAIRS!!!!!), never mention that i stay upstairs. It was the time, when stairs create such headache (or muscle ache?) for me. After resting for few hours, we cleaned ourselves up and gone to the bus station. Along the way, i was mumbling pain pain pain omg stairs (like siao). Mentally imaginary crawl all over the place.....ouch!
I feel like crying lah duh. On the bus (plusliner, i'd prefer Bulan Restu but their tickets were sold out), the tiny spaced and crowded bus, for the normal me, it was....ok? But then, i was in pain and sore!!!! I can't sit well, i can't expand my legs straight, and I have to listen to the guy behind me playing games WITH THE VOLUME TURNED ON! Hello, are you deaf? Then, another girl talking to the phone non-stop from kl to kuantan. Eh, your mouth x letih kah? Loud and noisy ( because i dont understand her language, (she was speaking in tamil), even if i understand the language, still? BISING! Am not trying to make a racist statement here, just to clear things up.). Luckily i didnt killed on the bus (nope, neither after reaching). Fuuuh.
Bllaaaaah. Maybe i aged, thats why the pain exaggerated much than before :(
Anyway, i succeeded!!! I gained my finisher medal! Wooohhh! Took this photo on the blocked road, you can even see people laying on the road ( i did laid on the street but the photos didnt turned up nice, i mean, i looked ugly in those photos lol), once in a life time when you can sit on the busy KL road, SIT!
Ciao!
